How to Reduce your risk of Diabetes

These lifestyle changes can help prevent you developing Diabetes.

  • Change your diet and have a generally healthy diet
  • Be more active – aim for 2.5 hours of activity a week.
  • Losing weight (if you’re overweight) will make it easier for your body to lower your blood sugar level

There are two different types of diabetes.

Type 1 – Where the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce insulin.
Type 2 – Where the body does not produce enough insulin, or the body’s cells do no react to insulin.
